Analysis Of The Theories Of The Existence Of Bigfoot

Bigfoot is a mystery that has fascinated man for thousands of years. There have been many legends and stories about Bigfoot, an ape-like creature that roamed the deepest woods of the globe throughout history. Bigfoot is described by being a large, ape-like creature that is larger than the average person. There have been many theories about Bigfoot’s origins and how to determine if it exists. The evidence and credibility of the source are all important factors in evaluating the mystery of Bigfoot. There are many theories that surround Bigfoot. The most interesting ones refer to it as an extraterrestrial entity, a mythical creature of the forest, or a species, while others consider the Bigfoot legend a hoax.

Bigfoot is a possible extraterrestrial being. UFOs and Bigfoot were linked in 1988 by cattle ranchers and Native Americans from Humboldt County. Ruehl says the Native Americans led him into a “cave” and showed him a creature with long dark hair. Native Americans claimed three “Crazy Bears,” which were small moons, came down from heaven and landed in the air. The “moon then returned to the air” (Ruehl). A UFO incident was also reported in Cincinnati, Ohio 100 years later. Reafa Sheifield was awoken in the middle night by a beam light that looked like a giant bubble umbrella. Reafa says she saw an ape like creature walking toward the UFO. It disappeared in the darkness within minutes. William Bosak, from Wisconsin, was almost struck by a UFO on his way home at night a year later. William claims to having seen an ape like creature, “inside” the transparent dome. However, there’s not much evidence to support his claim. Reafa, William and others have not mentioned unusual footprints close to their locations in UFO reports since 1970. Both the UFO-like creature and its description are similar. However it is possible that they could have different descriptions based upon the legends passed down. Many stories have been told about Bigfoot and UFOs over the centuries. However, they have never been caught or examined for authenticity. This theory is highly credible due to its elusive nature. You would expect that at least one documented case study of either of the factors would exist in all of human history. This would prove that existence is possible. Because of these factors, the theory of Bigfoot is one of most unlikely theories. It lacks scientific evidence or empirical research that supports the claim.

Another theory that Bigfoot may be a mythical forest creature is less likely. Its roots can be traced back to indigenous folklore and ancient legends. Native American legends depict Bigfoot as a tall and hairy creature that lives in woods. Bigfoot creatures also seem to communicate between themselves using their own language. This could be made by making grunting or whistling sounds. Other stories have included those of Bigfoot males that can “mated with human women”. According to legends, Bigfoot can turn invisible or possess supernatural powers. Bigfoot is today’s most popular and widely accepted name. However, Native American tribes throughout history have given this creature many different names. This man-like creature is called Sasquatch by the Coast Salish tribe and Halkomelem tribes. Sasquatch is described by Native Americans as a supernatural, powerful creature that looks like a large, hairy wildman (“Legendary Native American Figures”) The Wood Man is another man-like creature, as well as one that is popular among the Ahtna and Koyukon tribes. The Wood Man is described as a “hairy bigfoot-like wildman of the forest”, and it is silent. He “rarely reveals his self to humans.” Wood Men may, as Bigfoot said, sometimes attempt to mate.

Bigfoot legends and legends are the only source of Bigfoot’s mythical forest creature. Although Bigfoot is said to be capable of mating humans, it’s highly unlikely. These claims are based on the lack of genetic testing or real evidence to support them. There has never been a single documented case of Bigfoot primate mating with human. Native American Folklore has one problem. It is heavily based upon mysticism and the transfer of stories from generation-to-generation. This makes it difficult to add or subtract details from stories.

Bigfoot could also be considered a species primate. This theory is based on an extinct primate, Gigantopithecus blacki (“Beyond Bigfoot”) This species was most likely found in Southeast Asia. It is thought to be “closely related with modern orangutans” by Wayman. Gigantopithecus has a reported height of 10 feet and a maximum weight of over a thousand pounds. Todd Standing also mentions his belief that Bigfoot, a North America-based primate, exists. Todd Standing first witnessed a creature about nine-ten feet in height standing behind a tree. He also captured a video of the species on camera. The species was dark-colored and had a hairy appearance that closely resembled that of a primate. The third piece was the collection of conifer trees snapped in the region where Todd Standing asserts Bigfoot activity. These trees can be snapped from eight to ten feet high and some of the structures have been dispositioned. This makes it extremely unlikely that Bigfoot activity was caused or staged by any other mammal. The footprints left by the dislocated tree structures are the last piece of evidence. Todd Standing was unable to see the footprints, so he lowered his shoe further into ground. This may be because the footprint was from Bigfoot (Discovering Bigfoot). These facts show that Bigfoot and Giantopithecus blacki have many similarities.

This theory is not without its flaws. First, there isn’t enough evidence to prove that ancient Gigantopithecus Blacki primates or any other primates are related to Bigfoot. Also, no DNA samples have been found that can prove Bigfoot’s existence. There have never been any fossils that could be used to prove the existence of Bigfoot. Therefore, believing that Bigfoot could be a primate species is unlogical scientifically and anatomically.

Bigfoot could be nothing but a hoax. Every piece of evidence has been rejected, found inconclusive or linked to other animals. Ray Wallace discovered the first footprints in 1958. His son Michael Wallace (Martelle), later revealed that this was a hoax. The existence of an ape-like creature that roamed the woods has never been proven by DNA samples. Benjamin Radford claims that hair samples were either bear or elk hair, and blood samples were found to contain transmission fluid (Radford). Roger Patterson’s 1967 Bigfoot photograph, as well as Bob Gimlin’s 1967 Bigfoot picture, have been declared to be a hoax. Benjamin Radford discusses this piece of evidence in “Bigfoot: Man Monster or Myth?” He mentions that many people have admitted to creating fake Bigfoot prints, photos, and almost every other type Bigfoot evidence. One would assume that Bigfoot would not be real if there was no reason to do so.

Bigfoot is a hoax theory seems very plausible. This theory is the main reason why Bigfoots exist without any evidence. Many instances where Bigfoot images, DNA samples, and footprints have been rejected, or considered inconclusive, include several occasions. Maybe the lure of Bigfoot makes people believe it is real. Although many organizations and documentaries have tried to prove Bigfoot’s existence online, none have succeeded.

Many theories have been put forward to explain Bigfoot’s mystery throughout recorded history. Some theories are too far-fetched or unrealistic, like Bigfoot being an extraterrestrial entity or mythical creature from the forest. Some theories, however, are more plausible than others. For example Bigfoot could be a primate species or a hoax. Bigfoot simply doesn’t exist. This is the most plausible explanation. Bigfoot’s legend will remain a captivating mystery, no matter where someone is located.
